Tell Us: Do You Plan to Go to Musikfest?

Bethlehem's signature nine-day music festival begins today.

Bethlehem's nationally--and even internationally--known nine-day outdoor music festival, a.k.a. Musikfest, begins today at various locations north and south of the Lehigh River in the city.

For Saucon Valley residents, Musikfest represents an annual opportunity to hear world-class performances by hundreds of artists, sample exotic foods, wander Bethlehem's historic streets (with alcoholic beverage in hand if one so chooses), snag freebies, and simply enjoy "something different."

However, now that much of the festival is held on , the thousands of visitors the festival draws will put added strain on --roads that in many cases lead directly to the Saucon Valley.

Even if you don't mind dealing with the extra traffic, the crowds at the festival can be overwhelming, particularly for those who prefer a more "subdued" atmosphere.

So, how do you feel about Musikfest? Is it something you look forward to or something you try to avoid as much as possible?
