Township Hires Part-Time Police Officer

The Lower Saucon Township Police Department has announced the hiring of a new part-time police officer. Gregorio Mora was sworn in on Feb. 17.

The ranks of the Lower Saucon Township Police Department have increased with the hiring of a new part-time officer, it was announced Feb. 17.

Gregorio "Greg" Mora, of Allentown, was sworn in at Lower Saucon Town Hall with Police Chief Guy Lesser and Township Manager Jack Cahalan present.

In a press release, the department said Mora is a graduate of New York's Seward Park High School and has completed courses at Queensborough College for Liberal Arts and Manhattan Community College. He is a 2009 graduate of the Allentown Police Academy's Act 120 Basic Officer Certification Course, it added.

Mora has been employed as a full-time officer with the Moravian College Police Department in Bethlehem for almost two years, and previously worked at UBS Investment Banking and JP Morgan Chase in Manhattan, according to the press release.
