Township Police Gearing Up for 'National Night Out'
Lower Saucon Township Police will take part in "National Night Out" throughout the township tonight. Residents are encouraged to leave their porch lights on and get out to meet their neighbors.
"Lower Saucon Township is supporting the original spirit of National Night Out by inviting residents to turn on their porch lights and get out to meet their neighbors in informal block gatherings and activities. When residents on a block know each other, the neighborhood is safer and stronger!
"Like many communities on August 7, 2012, Lower Saucon Township will be participating in National Night Out, always the first Tuesday in August. This national campaign is designed to raise crime prevention awareness, strengthen neighborhood unity and spirit, and develop partnerships between the Township and community.

"The Lower Saucon Township Police Bike Unit will be on patrol from 6pm to 12am on Aug. 7 if you have any questions to ask the officers."
