Township Police Warn of Phone Scam

Lower Saucon Township Police said Tuesday that a company called American Chimney is aggressively calling local residents.

Lower Saucon Township Police are warning members of the public to be on the alert for a phone scam they say is being perpetrated by individuals who claim to work for a company called American Chimney.

In a press release issued Tuesday, police said they have received complaints from township residents about unsolicited phone calls from the company, which police believe is actually "a scam out of New York."

"This company has very aggressive sales tactics, and doesn't take no for an answer," police said, adding that victims of the scam are typically told they have an appointment for their chimney to be serviced.
