Where to Expect Road Work This Week: Jan. 23-27
PennDOT has announced the following scheduled road work in the Saucon Valley area.

This week the Pennsylvania Department of Transportation (PennDOT) has announced that the following road projects will be taking place in our area (all projects are weather dependent):
* From Monday, Jan. 23 to Friday, Jan. 27, PennDOT maintenance forces will be sealing cracks on Route 412 between the Bucks County line and Third Street in Bethlehem, including along sections of the road in Hellertown and Lower Saucon Township. Lane restrictions with flagging will be in place from 9am to 2pm.
* On Tuesday, Jan. 24, PennDOT bridge inspection forces will be looking at a bridge on Rotue 378 between Black River Road and Oakhurst Drive in Lower Saucon Township. A northbound lane restriction will be in effect from 9am to noon, and a southbound lane restriction will be in effect from noon to 3pm.

* On Wednesday, Jan. 25, there will be a rolling roadblock with short term stoppages on Interstate 78 between exit 60 (Route 309) in Upper Saucon Township and exit 67 (Route 412) in Hellertown/Bethlehem. The rolling roadblock will take place from 10:30 to 11am, and is to allow for the stringing of fiber optic cables across the road. The work is being performed by a contractor for the telecom and cable company Sunesys, PennDOT said.
* On Friday, Jan. 27, PennDOT maintenance forces will be repairing a drainage inlet on Route 378 North between Puggy Lane in Lower Saucon Township and Broadway in the City of Bethlehem. There will be a lane restriction between 9am and 2pm.
