Zoning Board Delays Group Home Decision Till August
A discussion about a group home proposed for 1360 Main Street was tabled until Aug. 22, after the applicant to the Hellertown Zoning Hearing Board requested a continuance July 18.

After meeting behind closed doors with the board's solicitor and an attorney representing the applicant--Lehigh Valley Consumer Family Satisfaction Team--ZHB chairman Jeffrey Hahn announced that the applicant had requested "a continuation."
A reason for the request was not publicly disclosed, but the board approved a continuation until August.

The property at 1360 Main Street is owned by John P. and Shelley Redding of Lower Saucon Township and was last sold in October 2006 for $200,000, according to online Northampton County property records.
Located in a mixed use zoning district, it consists of a detached home situated on approximately .16 acres, according to the records.

The group home proposal is now scheduled to be reviewed by the Zoning Hearing Board on Wednesday, Aug. 22 at 6:30pm in .
Before that, the Hellertown Planning Commission will review the proposal on Tuesday, Aug. 14 at 7pm in Borough Hall.
