1. ‘It's never easy': Lancaster County bank closing branches in Dauphin, Cumberland counties (pennlive.com) — Fulton Bank is closing its Hershey branch at 1212 Cocoa Avenue on Feb. 6, consolidating customer accounts to its Hummelstown location on West Main Street. Another branch in Silver Spring Township will also close, as the Lancaster-based bank shifts more services online while maintaining six total branches in Dauphin and Cumberland counties.

Hershey Medical Center in Hershey has been named a 2025 Leapfrog “Top Teaching Hospital,” while Lancaster Medical Center earned “Top General Hospital,” highlighting strong performance in safety and quality of care. Penn State Health names regional chief operating officer, chief nursing officer (psu.edu) — From their Hershey-based system headquarters, Penn State Health has promoted John Goodyear to regional chief operating officer and Tara Gardner to chief nursing officer for Hampden and Holy Spirit medical centers. Their new roles focus on day-to-day operations, nursing leadership, and improving care quality and staff engagement across the West Shore region.
