25-Year Milestone For Employee: Horsham Council Notebook
Horsham Township Council also checked out a new Horsham Fire Company ambulance.

HORSHAM TOWNSHIP, PA — Horsham Township celebrated the 25-year milestone of a township employee, while council members also recently checked out a new fire company ambulance.
The township celebrated Fred Pittman’s 25 years of dedicated service with the township. Pittman began his career with the township as a laborer in the Parks & Recreation Department and now serves as a truck driver with the Public Works Department.
"Fred focuses mainly on our parks and has assisted with the building of our playgrounds and pavilions," township officials said. "You have probably seen Fred on a mower in the spring/summer and plowing snow in the winter."

Meanwhile, council members recently checked out the new Horsham Fire Company ambulance.
"The state-of-the-art vehicle emphasizes the unwavering commitment of our community to ensuring public safety and preparedness for emergencies," township officials said. "We extend our sincere gratitude to the dedicated Emergency Medical Technicians (EMTs) who serve under the Horsham Fire Company. Their unwavering dedication and expertise make them the true heroes of our community. We are deeply appreciative of their invaluable contributions."

In other recent council business:
Council approved a resolution designating Township Manager Bill Walker as the township’s agent to sign and execute all forms to obtain financial assistance for the hazard mitigation grant program for a property at 234 McKean Road.
The house on the property is uninhabitable due to repeated flooding.
At no cost to the township, the buildings on the property will be razed, the swimming pool filled in, and the land will be transferred to the township and remain undeveloped.
The council also unanimously approved a bid to construct 18 ADA ramps to JDC Construction Services for $104,475.
