Baseball: Hatboro-Horsham Falls to Methacton

Methacton came back from a 3-0 deficit to beat Hatboro-Horsham 4-3 in a game played at Disney's Wide World of Sports Thursday.

Hatboro-Horsham senior and Seton Hall commit, Zach Prendergast, was terrific in his first start of the season. Prendergast struck out 13 in his 5.1 innings while allowing 3 hits and 3 runs, 1 earned. Through three innings, Prendergast struck out 9 and allowed just one base runner on a walk.

Grant Opalisky (2-3, 2 RBI) and Chris Naiberk (2-3, 1 double) led the offense for the Hatters. Reed Hofstrander earned the win for Methacton in relief, while Tyler Markovic suffered the loss for Hatboro-Horsham.


Hatboro-Horsham opens up its league season on Tuesday against CB East.
