Checks Reportedly Stolen From U.S. Postal Service Box in Horsham

Individuals in Horsham last week said they discovered funds missing from their accounts after checks they had put in the mail were forged.

HORSHAM, PA — Multiple people said they discovered missing funds from bank accounts after discovering checks they had put in the mail were reportedly stolen out of a Postal Service collection box and subsequently forged.

Horsham police investigators and U.S. Postal inspectors are reportedly looking into who stole checks from the blue mail collection box on the 500 block of Horsham Road recently and subsequently washed the checks to change the amount of money they had been made out for, according to a report on 6 ABC Action News.
