During his first two terms, George was nominated for and elected to the position of Council President by fellow members of Council due to his strong leadership and passion for our community.
During his tenure as council president, Bollendorf has presided over almost every council meeting, only missing two meetings in the past eight years.

Bollendorf also worked with every council committee to ensure they received the support and guidance. He also created the Pennypack Events Committee and worked to spearhead events such as the Sip N Shops, Parties in the Park, Fireworks, and the upcoming Hat Drop.
Bollendorf will remain a councilman and will continue to serve the community daily.
Borough officials said the reason is because of Bollendorf's job is taking more time where he cannot commit time any longer to being president.
"Please join Council, Mayor Schultz, and the Borough staff in thanking George for his leadership and all that he has done for the Borough in the last eight years as council president," officials said.
