Crooked Billet Elementary School Threats Made Online: PD

Hatboro Police said the threats were reported on Wednesday. Find out below what an initial investigation determined.

HATBORO, PA —The Hatboro Police Department is investigating online threats made against Crooked Billet Elementary School.

Hatboro Police said that they were notified at 7:49 p.m. on Wednesday that multiple parties made threats online via Snapchat directed toward students at Crooked Billet Elementary School.

Police said the threats were investigated immediately and determined to be fraudulent and were from an uninvolved third party within two hours of the investigation.

Through the investigation, it was determined there was no threat to the students or faculty of Crooked Billet Elementary which would necessitate any changes to the normal school schedule.

Police also said the people responsible for the threats were identified in short order as juveniles, and interviewed by police.

The investigation is ongoing so the identities of those involved are not being released at this time, police said.

Police said additional information will be provided once the investigation concludes.
