Borough officials said they expected a big crowd to attend the event.

"We hope to see you at the event, and we hope that you stay in the borough and have a drink or dinner at one of our many eateries. This event is being held in the business district to assist our business owners," officials said.
Officials have outlined parking for the Hat Drop:
There will be parking at the commuter lot behind the police station by entering off East Moreland Avenue. The Bank Street Parking lot will have plenty of space available.
The shopper's lot will be closed and not accessible for vehicles; only for pedestrians, borough vehicles, and the Enterprise Fire Company Ladder Truck, which will be dropping the hat.
There is on-street parking along York Road.
Anyone who parks in the adjoining neighborhood should follow all parking laws and should not block driveways.
Anyone with questions about the event should reach out to Borough Hall at 215-443-9100 or email at info@myhatboro.org.
