Eat Pancakes, Hunt for Eggs, Meet Easter Bunny

Easter egg hunts and pancake breakfasts abound around Hatboro and Horsham this weekend.

Spring has officially sprung. On the heels of that flower-blossoming season is Easter. Hatboro, Horsham and neighboring towns have plenty of Easter-centric activities to please kids of all ages. Here’s a list of what’s happening this weekend.

HATBORO BAPTIST CHURCH BREAKFAST AND EGG HUNT

Where/when: Hatboro Baptist Church, 32 N. York Road, Hatboro, Saturday from 9:30 a.m. to 11:30 a.m.

Why go: Enjoy a pancake breakfast followed by an Easter egg hunt, kids activities and prizes.

HORSHAM TOWNSHIP EGG HUNT

Where/when: Deep Meadow Park, 1020 Horsham Road, Horsham, Saturday at 2 p.m.

Why go: Kids ages 8 and under can search for plastic Easter eggs at the township’s annual hunt. Afterward, kids can meet and take photos with the Easter Bunny.

Cost: Free 

HATBORO BUSINESS DISTRICT EGG HUNT

Where/when: York Road business district, Hatboro, Saturday from noon to 3 p.m.

Why go: Pick up plastic Easter eggs filled with a “special surprise” at participating businesses (look for posters in windows).

Cost: Free

UKRAINIAN EASTER EGGS

Where/when: Historical Society of Montgomery County, 1654 Dekalb St., Norristown, Thursday from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. (other dates and times through April 15)

Why go: View eggs decorated with traditional Ukrainian symbols made using hot bee’s wax and a stylus or the head of a pin then colored using organic dyes.

Cost: Free

STORY TIME READING

Where/when: Maine Star Coffee, 237 Jacksonville Road, Hatboro, Sunday at 2 p.m.

Why go: Children’s authors read some of their favorite stories to kids.

Cost: Free admission. Beverages food available for purchase.

"ALL MY SONS"

Where/when: The Village Players of Hatboro, 401 Jefferson Ave., Hatboro, Friday and Saturday at 8 p.m.

Why go: Enjoy Arthur Miller's drama put on by this Hatboro-based community troupe.
