Ex-Police Officer Sentenced For Having Sex With Montco Teen Student
Jordan Jones, 29, of Horsham, was an Abington High School resource officer when the crimes took place. He faces two years in prison.
EASTERN MONTGOMERY COUNTY, PA —A Horsham man has been sentenced to up to 23 months in prison for his role in sexually abusing a teenage girl while he was an Abington Township police officer.
Jordan Jones, 29, of Horsham, was sentenced Tuesday to 11-23 months in prison and will also have to serve seven years of probation for admitting to having sex with an Abington High School girl while he was serving as a school resource officer, NBC 10 Philadelphia reported.
In February 2024, Abington High School officials informed police that a 17-year-old student told a school counselor that she had been in a sexual relationship with Jones since November 2023.

The teen told officials she and Jones had met numerous times at his home in Horsham.
Before his arrest, Jones was a school resource officer at Abington High School as well as a full-time officer with the Abington Township Police Department, court records said.
Authorities said the girl told the counselor she and Jones met numerous times and engaged in sexual activity at his home in Horsham. According to a criminal affidavit filed for Jones, the two had sex about 15 times.

He joined the Abington Police Department in 2017 after earning a degree in criminal justice from Temple University, where he played football, according to the department's annual report in 2017. He is a graduate of Northeast High School and also attended East Stroudsburg University, according to the 2017 report.
