Farmers Market to Begin Next Month
The Hatboro Residents' Association will offer its bi-monthly 'gardeners market' beginning in June.

The group working to bring a farmers market to Hatboro has a location, now it just needs to fill it with gardeners, crafters, bakers and other various vendors.
The Hatboro Residents' Association's dream of starting a farmers market in the borough will become a reality when Hatboro Baptist Church hosts the first of the bi-weekly events on June 21.
HRA President Heather Hamilton said the nonprofit organization is seeking vendors to fill tables at the $10 per space market, which will be held the first and third Fridays of the month from 6 to 8 p.m. in the church's parking lot.

Hamilton said the HRA decided to change the name from farmers market to "gardeners market" in hopes of attracting "lots of home growers."
"What's more local than buying a tomato that grew around the corner from you?" Hamilton said.
