Former Colonial Caterers Owner, Long-Time Hatboro Resident, Dies
Funeral arrangements have been set for Claire Myers, of Hatboro.

Claire Myers (Carter) of Hatboro, died on Tuesday surrounded by her loving family. She was 87.
She was the wife of the late Jerome W. Myers with whom she had shared 56 years of marriage. The youngest of five children, Myers was born in Montgomery County and raised in Bronx, N.Y.
She and her husband Jerry moved to the Hatboro area in the early 1950s, where they raised their five children. The couple owned Colonial Caterers of Hatboro for 33 years before retiring in 1988. She always involved in her community.
Myers was the secretary for the Hatboro Republican Organization for more than 20 years and was also treasurer of the Saint Vincent DePaul Society of Saint David's Church where she was an active volunteer for more than 20 years. She was also a volunteer for many years with Meals on Wheels and Aid for Friends.
She is survived by two sons Jerome (Joy) of Buckingham, Robert (Dr. Carol) of East Greenville, two daughters Cathy Brennan of Hatboro and Nancy Guenst (Steve) of Hatboro, 12 grandchildren, 14 great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild, many nieces and nephews and by her best friend Irene LaRocca.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend her funeral mass on Monday at 10 a.m. in St David's Church, 316 N. Easton Road, Willow Grove. Her interment will follow in Resurrection Cemetery, Bensalem. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to St David's at the above address C/O Saint Vincent DePaul Society.
