Hatboro-Horsham's Post Prom Committee Seeks $
Organizers of Hatboro-Horsham High School's Post-Prom event are seeking donations to help cover costs of the $16,000 party.
They've held countless bake sales, sold concessions at high school events, sent out corporate letters, sought contributions of food and goods and even asked parents to chip in.
Still, with roughly two months until Hatboro-Horsham High School's prom and subsequent seven-hour Post-Prom after party, organizers are several thousand dollars short of goal.
In all, the third annual extended night of dancing, food, music, movies, prizes and more held at the Philadelphia Sports Club in Chalfont on May 24 costs between $15,000 to $16,000 to put on, according to Post-Prom Co-Chair Helen Falguera.

To date, organizers have raised between $11,000 and $12,000. Falguera said she's hopeful that , which continues through March 23. The remaining funds will likely trickle in from the $5 tickets to Post-Prom, which Falguera said she expects to be similar, or higher than last year's turnout of 300 students.
If need be, Falguera said Post-Prom organizers will scale back on the amount of prizes purchased for the event.

"I’d hate to see that," Falguera said.
To help ensure enough funds for the seniors' extended rite of passage, Post-Prom committee member Linda Goodwin started a campaign on Indiegogo, a fundraising site. So far, Goodwin's video has raised nearly half of her $500 goal.
"I’m sure we will, in the end, get the money," Goodwin said, adding that, "anything is a help."
Goodwin has been involved with the high school's Post-Prom effort since it was resurrected three years ago. Her youngest child, a Hatboro-Horsham senior, will get to enjoy the fruits of her and other volunteers' labor.
"This is a great place for the kids to go. It’s safe," Goodwin said. "The kids get to continue celebrating their upcoming graduation with all of their classmates."
To keep it safe, Falguera said chaperones are needed, particularly for the overnight hours from about 1 a.m. to 6 a.m.
"It takes a village to ensure that our kids are safe and that no one leaves," Falguera said.
