Hatboro-Horsham's Post-Prom Party Will Go On

Organizers are readying for Friday's all-night prom after party for Hatboro-Horsham High School prom-goers.

Hatboro-Horsham High School's Post-Prom organizers' bargain shopping abilities will come in handy this weekend.

The group, according to Co-Chair Helen Falguera, set out to buy prizes for nearly all attendees of Hatboro-Horsham's third annual seven-hour prom after party. Since 240 (and counting) kids are coming to the Philadelphia Sports Club in Chalfont Friday night into Saturday morning, that's quite a lot of prizes.

"We did a lot of sale shopping for a lot of the items," Falguera told Patch. "We put a lot more effort into ensuring that most kids who come get a prize."

In past years, for instance, organizers bought three large TVs, but this year purchased one large TV and two small TVs to award as prizes.

Organizers had struggled to raise enough funds to cover the $15,000 to $16,000 Post-Prom expense.

"We just purchased to what we have," she said. "Things cost more money than things cost last year."
