Hatboro To Host 'National Night Out' This Fri. Aug. 13
Later this week, the borough will participate in the nationwide program designed to foster greater community-police relations.

HATBORO, PA — The Hatboro community later this week will have an opportunity foster greater police-neighborhood relations during the borough’s annual participation in the National Night Out event.
Part of a nationwide program, Hatboro’s National Night Out, which will take place this Friday Aug. 13 from 5:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. in Miller Meadow, will give residents a chance to mingle with police officers and other emergency first responders from the area, and see displays of equipment used to protect the community.
Police canine demonstrations will also occur, including one from Hatboro’s own four-legged K9 officer, Louie.

Also participating in the event this year will be officials will the Montgomery County Department of Public Safety, who will be offering a free, walk-up COVID-19 vaccination site for those looking to get inoculated against the coronavirus.
The Johnson & Johnson vaccine will be the one offered, and it will be available to interested attendees 18 years of age or older. This vaccine requires only one shot, unlike the ones offered by other drug manufacturers.

National Night Out is a nationwide program designed to enhance community relations between local law enforcement and citizens.
The event will take place at Miller Meadow, which is located off of South York Road.
