Hatboro Newsletter Wins Statewide Award
'Hatboro Highlights' won second place in the 2013 Borough News Annual Municipal Newsletter Contest.

It's official: Hatboro's newsletter is the best among boroughs statewide.
Earlier this month, Hatboro received a letter from thePennsylvania State Association of Boroughsin the 2013 Borough News Annual Municipal Newsletter Contest.
Councilman Bob Hegele who had overseen the reintroduction of the borough newsletter last year, announced the recognition during this week's council meeting.

"This is quite an accomplihment and quite an honor for Hatboro," Hegele said.
His wife, assistant borough secretary Diane Hegele, will travel to Hershey on May 7 for an awards luncheon. Gesturing toward plaques in the borough's meeting room, she said Hatboro has won awards in the past for its newsletter.

Mrs. Hegele said Hatboro won its most recent award for its fall/winter newsletter, which featured an article about beloved long-time mayor Joe Celano following his death
