Hatboro Resident Kate Kollar Receives Recognition By Borough For Her Volunteerism
Kate Kollar, a Hatboro resident of 18 years, was recognized by the borough in September for her local volunteerism.
HATBORO, PA — Hatboro has announced that it is recognizing Events Committee member Kate Kollar in September as part of its monthly recognition of a different borough volunteer.
Kollar, who has lived in Hatboro for the past 18 years with her husband and three children, works by day as the program coordinator for the Upper Moreland Township Parks and Recreation Department. She has been employed in neighboring Upper Moreland for 16 years.
“Kate enjoys volunteering because she believes in building strong communities,” the Borough of Hatboro stated in a Facebook post Monday. “Kate believes everyone should find a passion and dedicate your energy towards that passion.”

Kollar serves in a variety of volunteer capacities, including as Home And School Association President at Pennypack Elementary School, helping out with the Hatboro-Horsham Soccer Club, and acting as a coordinator with the Montgomery County Senior Games, according to the Facebook post.
“Kate comes from a family of volunteers and truly loves dedicating her time and energy to helping however she can,” the post reads. “She also urges anyone who is considering becoming a volunteer to just do it. You’ll feel great about helping your community!”
