Horsham Library Moving To Curbside Service Only
The two-week closure comes as Montgomery County's board of health ordered schools to go virtual amid rising coronavirus cases.
HORSHAM, PA — With a fall surge of coronavirus cases hitting Pennsylvania, the Horsham Township Library is scaling back to curbside service only.
The change, done "out of an abundance of caution," will start on Saturday and is expected to last for two weeks, until Nov. 28.
Library hours are Monday-Saturday from 10 a.m.-4 p.m. No appointments will be necessary and library staff will remain available to answer questions on the phone at 215-443-2609.

The library also will be continuing all virtual programs, including Facebook Story Time and Virtual Book Club meetings. More information is available on the Horsham Township Library website.
Library members may place a hold on a book, then come pick it up while wearing a mask. They should have their library card with them. They may return materials via the library's drop box. Materials that are returned will be quarantined several days before being put back in circulation.

The return to curbside service comes the same day that the Montgomery County Board of Health ordered all schools to go virtual for two weeks, starting Nov. 23.
Officials pointed to the recent steep rise in cases as well as guidance from the Children's Hospital of Philadelphia Policy Lab, which cites the anticipated rise in cases surrounding the upcoming Thanksgiving holiday.
Montgomery County is seeing the highest levels of coronavirus since the pandemic began, with 2,344 cases over the last two weeks, and rapidly rising hospitalization rates as well.
