HORSHAM TOWNSHIP, PA — The Horsham Township Police Department is seeking a probationary police officer.

The Horsham Township Police Department is seeking highly motivated and dedicated individuals to join our team as probationary police officers.

The police department said that probationary police officers play a critical role in maintaining the safety and well-being of the community.

Probationary police officers perform a variety of law enforcement duties, including patrolling assigned areas, responding to calls for service, and enforcing laws and regulations.

Responsibilities include patrol assigned areas to prevent and detect crime, and to maintain law and order, respond to calls for service, including emergency and non-emergency situations, enforce laws and regulations, including traffic laws and ordinances, conduct investigations, gather evidence, and prepare reports.

Officers should develop and maintain relationships with the community, including businesses, residents, and other stakeholders, participate in training and professional development activities to maintain and improve skills and knowledge.

Requirements include:

• 21 years of age
• High school graduate or GED equivalent
• U.S. citizen
• Valid driver's license

Applicants must pass a thorough background investigation, including a polygraph examination and psychological evaluation. They also need to pass physical fitness and medical examinations.
