Horsham Welcomes New Cops
The new hires fill vacancies left from recent retirements and promotions.
The Horsham Township Police Department is back to its 40-member complement with the swearing in of two new police officers.
District Judge Harry J. Nesbitt swore in Gloria Hatcher and Andrew D'Arcy during Wednesday night's Horsham Township Council meeting.
Hatcher most recently worked at a law firm in Philadelphia. D'Arcy has worked with the police department for several years as a civilian employee, according to Horsham Police Lt. Jon Clark.
Hatcher and D'Arcy beat out more than 800 applicants for the posts, according to Police Chief Robert Ruxton.
