Hospitalized Hatboro Officer Ryan Allen May Soon Come Out Of Sedation
Officer Ryan Allen, who has been hospitalized since suffering cardiac arrest due to a bee sting, may soon be taken off sedation.

HATBORO, PA — The police officer who has been hospitalized for nearly three weeks ever since a bee sting sent him into cardiac arrest may soon be brought out of sedation, according to his wife.
Whitney Allen posted on Facebook Oct. 30 that her husband, Hatboro K9 Police Officer Ryan Allen, has been slowly weaned off of the sedative medication that doctors have had him on ever since being rushed to Penn Presbyterian Medical Center in Philadelphia Oct. 14 after he had a heart attack after going into anaphylactic shock from the bee sting.
This past Saturday, Whitney Allen posted online that her husband's team of physicians have been slowly lowering the sedation medication every eight hours, and it would be a few days until the sedatives are cut off completely.

Whitney Allen said once her husband is completely taken off sedation, doctors would try to wake Ryan Allen up and perform a neurological assessment to see where his cognitive baseline is.
Whitney Allen previously stated that a recent MRI scan determined that Ryan Allen had suffered a severe brain injury, but that doctors would know more once he was completely out of sedation.
