The informal open house, geared toward seventh and eighth grade families, will give students and parents a chance to walk around the middle school and briefly meet with teachers.
Families of students whose last names begin with the letters ‘A’ through ‘L’ will be able to walk around the school from 1 p.m. to 3 p.m. and those with students whose last names begin with ‘M’ through ‘Z’ will have an opportunity to tour the building between 3 p.m. and 5 p.m.

Keith Valley Middle School Principal Jonathan Kircher made the announcement about the open house on social media this week. He said the district’s email system and internal network were still down as of the time he wrote the Facebook post, which was Sept. 5. The outages were due to last week’s storms, which produced heavy rain and flooding, as well as tornadoes, throughout eastern Montgomery County.
On Monday, the Hatboro-Horsham School District tweeted that power had been restored to all district schools, but that the computer network was still down. Email as of Monday was also still down, and the district said it had crews working overnight to try and fix the issues.
Otherwise, the district said the school buildings and grounds would be in good shape for the first day of school on Thursday.
Kircher said that parents interested in attending the open house who have questions beforehand are welcome to contact the Keith Valley main office, which will be staffed as of 8 a.m. Wednesday morning. The number for the main office is 215-420-5050.
