Lacrosse: Boys Defeat CB East
Thursday's win puts the undefeated Hatters boys lacrosse team in first place.
The Hatboro-Horsham High School boys lacrosse team beat rival Central Bucks East by a score of 8-5 Thursday night at home. The win puts the undefeated Hatters in first place in the Suburban One Continental Conference.
The Hatters led 4-3 at half time, and dominated the second half, outscoring the visiting Patriots 4-2 to hold onto its half-time lead, and secure the victory. Jimmy Murphy (2 goals, 1 assist), Ryan Higgins (2 goals, 1 assist), and Zach Erwine (3 goals) led the Hatters offensively. Ben Cellini also contributed 1 goal for Hatboro-Horsham.
Marc Poust was outstanding in goal recording 15 saves on 20 shots. Jake Cresta, TJ Keleher, Keith Cameron, and Matt McPoyle played outstanding defense holding the potent CB East offense to 5 goals. The Hatters picked up its sixth straight league win after finishing the week with a 3-0 record. The Hatters look to make it seven in a row as they travel to Souderton High School on Tuesday for the 7:30 p.m. game.
