Man Who Ran Meth Lab Near School Arrested In Horsham: Police
Police and U.S. Marshal's officers arrested the man in a hotel room after a more than six-month search.

HORSHAM, PA — A man who police say ran a meth lab near a nursery school in Bucks County was arrested in a hotel room in Horsham on Thursday, authorities say.
Charles Glenn Barton, 37, was taken into custody by local police and U.S. Marshal's officers on Thursday, according to police. They say he was arrested in the hotel room without incident.
On June 1, Upper Southampton Police officers responded to a report of a possible burglary in process at Belmont Station. Officers entered the home to conduct interviews and, according to police, saw drugs and drug paraphernalia "in plain sight."

People were cleared out of the home and officers got a search warrant. During the search, they found "a suspected small methamphetamine cook lab," according to the police department.Police say the items they found were tested and confirmed to have been used to make meth.
Located off of Belmont Avenue, the address is near Jolly Tots Nursery and Daycare and about two miles from William Tennent High School.

In September, a warrant was issued for Barton on charges including operating a methamphetamine lab near a school or playground, possession with intent to distribute a controlled substance, risking a catastrophe and reckless endangerment.
Barton was arraigned Thursday by District Judge Jan Vislosky, who set his bail at 10 percent of $950,000. Barton did not post the bail and was taken to Bucks County Correctional Facility.
In Upper Southampton, Barton has an arrest record dating back to at least 2007. He has been charged with forgery, theft by deception, receiving stolen property, drug charges and other crimes.
