Police Corporal From Horsham Signs Off, Gets Escorted Home To Begin Retirement
Corporal Jeff Biggins, of the Horsham Township Police Department, retired from the force this week after nearly three decades of service.

HORSHAM, PA — A local police officer has retired from the job after nearly three decades of service.
Corporal Jeff Biggins left his position with the Horsham Township Police Department this week after 29 years policing this eastern Montgomery County community.
On Thursday, Biggins signed off on his last radio call, an act that was caught on video and posted to the township's Facebook page.

"I'd like to thank everybody that I've worked with who helped shape my career and helped define my career for the past 29 years, and I wish everybody to be safe and fight the good fight," Biggins says in his last radio call, before asking dispatch to log him off for the final time.
During his message, someone from the crowd yelled, "You're welcome," when Biggins was thanking the local police community.

The video then shows police vehicles from various different agencies escorting Biggins, with lights and sirens blaring, to his home where he would begin his retirement.
On Thursday, Biggins posted a message to his LinkedIn page as he was preparing to start retirement.
"After 29 years of service, today I retired and decided to start the second chapter of life," he wrote. "I don't know where the road will take me but I am looking forward to this new and exciting chapter."
