New Details Emerge On Hatboro Townhome Fire
The Enterprise Fire Company of Hatboro battled the fire Monday on South Warminster Road.

HATBORO, PA — The Hatboro Fire Marshal's Office has released new details regarding a house fire that occurred on Monday afternoon.
Multiple callers reported a fully involved townhouse on the corner of South Warminster Road and Byberry Road that was battled by the Enterprise Fire Company of Hatboro and mutual aid companies.
One unit involved sustained significant damage and was deemed uninhabitable. An adjacent unit sustained minor damage, the fire marshal's office said.

The Upper Moreland Fire Department arrived on location within five minutes of dispatch and began an exterior attack on the fire. Squad 95 arrived on location, and crews advanced into the townhome, quickly extinguished the fire, containing the fire to the room of origin.
A cat was rescued from the home after the initial fire attack was completed.

The American Red Cross was contacted to assist the displaced residents.
No injuries were reported to firefighters or civilians.
The cause of the fire is under investigation by the Borough of Hatboro Fire Marshal’s Office.
The fire marshal urges residents to ensure their smoke detectors are working, have a fire escape plan, and never go back inside a burning building.

The mutual aid companies included the Hartsville Fire Company, Horsham Fire Company, Huntingdon Valley Fire Company, Ivyland Fire Company, Upper Moreland Fire Department, and the Warminster Fire Department, the Lower Moreland Fire Marshal’s Office, and Second Alarmers.
The fire marshal also thanked the Hatboro Police Department, the American Red Cross, and Fire Police, who helped with an extended road closure.
