Street Milling & Repaving Starts In Hatboro On Monday

Work crews will begin milling and repaving parts of Hatboro as part of the recent Aqua water main replacement in the borough.

HATBORO, PA — Borough officials have announced that starting next week, motorists in the area should expect to encounter disruptions as work begins to mill and repave a section of roadway that was torn up during a water main replacement job earlier this year.

Starting this coming Monday, contractors will commence what is expected to be a daily roster of milling and paving work, from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m., in the area of Lantern Lane and Horseshoe Lane.

The roadwork is tied to the February replacement of the Aqua water main in the neighborhood and should take a couple of weeks to complete.

Borough officials said that due to the work, 'no parking' zones will be established along Lantern Lane and Horseshoe Lane between 7 a.m. and 5 p.m. from Aug. 8 through Aug. 22 to allow contractors to complete their work as "efficiently as possible."

"While work is being completed, residents can expect travel delays in the neighborhood and should plan accordingly," the borough said in a Facebook post. "Additionally, all affected residents should place trash, recycling, and yard waste at the curb the night before your collection dates to allow public works to collect refuse at 6:30 a.m. prior to contractors starting work."
