Warminster Road Bridge In Hatboro To Close Due To Repairs: See When

Motorists should expect increased traffic on side streets as a result of the project, officials said. Here's when construction starts:

HORSHAM, PA - Warminster Road Bridge is set to undergo a makeover in 2023. As a result, some residents may need to plan a new commute route through at least October.

PennDOT will be performing “total replacement” work on the bridge, as well as pedestrian improvements within the area, from April 3 through Oct. 31, 2023, Hatboro officials said in a statement this week.

During the project, the Warminster Road Bridge will be closed to vehicular traffic between East Mill Road and Surrey Lane, officials added.

Two detours will be in place around the bridge closure: one for motor vehicles (Byberry Road, Davisville Road, Terwood Road, and Route 263) and one for truck traffic (County Line Road and Route 611). You can view a map of the planned detours below.

“Although these detours direct motorists to main roads (Easton Road, Byberry Road, York Road, and Davisville Road), residents on Mill Road and Fulmor Avenue should expect increased traffic on side streets as a result of the project,” borough officials said. “While detours are posted, motorists unfamiliar with the area or those using GPS may not notice detours or may not be directed away from the project location.”

Municipal and police officials will work to monitor traffic issues (such as speeding) on side streets throughout the construction duration, officials said.
