Wedding Planning Business Coming to Hatboro
The Hatboro site formerly housed by The Lacey Lady will soon be home to a one-stop wedding and event planning business.

Have you wondered what's in store for the former Lacey Lady storefront? You're not alone.
Michael Magro said people have walked into the North York Road business-in-transition pretty regularly recently to see what the plastic Easter eggs and pastel floral decor in the window could possibly denote. Magro, the general manager of the impending new business, told Patch that in a matter of weeks, he and two other like-minded individuals will be officially opening an all-encompassing wedding and event planning business.
"There’s not a lot of other companies who do what we do," said Magro, who asked that the business name not be disclosed yet. "We are tackling event design from a different angle."
Comprised of a graphic designer and an events planner, Magro said the appointment-only business would "do everything" to prepare for an event, including designing save the date cards, invitations, menus, table numbers, seating cards and more; as well as handle floral arrangements, lighting and anything else one would deem important in planning a wedding, corporate event, mitzvah, or other special occasion.

Hatboro Main Street Manager Stephen Barth told Patch he envisions the event planning business–particularly its focus on weddings–as a natural complement to other borough businesses. Barth said his intent is to "cross promote" and market Hatboro as a wedding services area.
"When I took them around the borough, what was attractive, especially about Hatboro, are all the inter-related wedding businesses," Barth said. "We have several florists, bakeries, jewelers, printers, churches ... It allows us to unify Hatboro as the wedding and event destination."
