• 19-year-old to graduate SIU with aviation management degree (siu.edu) — A 19-year-old from Imperial is about to graduate from Southern Illinois University Carbondale with a bachelor’s degree in aviation management after fast-tracking his studies through Community College of Beaver County. Nathan Baskar completed the program while living at home, is already working toward becoming a certified flight instructor and a master’s degree, and hopes to eventually captain a major airline.
