• Johnstown man arrested after multiple attempts to steal a car (wtaj.com) — State Police say a Johnstown man tried to steal multiple vehicles in Homer City Borough on Dec. 22, pulling one driver from her car and later being caught after a foot chase near SR 119. He was treated at Indiana Regional Medical Center, taken to Indiana County Jail, and troopers are asking Indiana-area residents and businesses to review video from 6:00–7:04 p.m. that evening.

• AAA: ‘Tis the Season for Lower Gas Prices in PA (explorevenango.com) — Drivers in Indiana are paying about $3.187 per gallon for regular gas this week, slightly below many nearby towns. AAA reports that prices have dipped across Western Pennsylvania and nationally, thanks to steady supply and lower crude oil costs, giving local holiday travelers some relief at the pump.
   

• High school girls basketball notebook: Bailey White surpasses former Fab 5 pick Mary Myers as Allderdice's all-time leading scorer (centredaily.com) — Indiana High School’s undefeated Little Indians girls basketball team is stifling opponents with lockdown defense, allowing just 28.3 points per game despite a smaller lineup. Led by senior guard Julia Antonacci and coach Michael Franciscus, they’ve transformed from a tall, post-dominant squad into a quick, defensive powerhouse while other WPIAL contenders like Allderdice and Chartiers-Houston also chase titles.
