Duke field hockey 2025 season review (dukechronicle.com) — A standout Duke field hockey star hails from right here in Lansdale, Pa., finishing her college career as the program’s leading scorer for three straight seasons. The 2025 Blue Devils reached the NCAA quarterfinals, while Lansdale native Alaina McVeigh piled up 39 points, earned All-ACC and All-Region honors, and helped secure head coach Pam Bustin’s 350th career win.
   

2. Tax credits fund $500,000 to 8 Montco agencies aiding low-income families (delcotimes.com) — Lansdale residents will see direct benefits from a new $45,000 grant to Hedwig House’s Housing Stability Initiative, which helps low-income adults with mental illness secure and keep safe, affordable housing in town. The funding is part of more than $500,000 in state-backed Neighborhood Assistance Program tax-credit dollars awarded to several Montgomery County nonprofits focused on housing, education, safety, and support for vulnerable families.
   

3. On Tutor Perini Project, Floor Slab Deflection Problem Apparently Had No Clear Owner (enr.com) — A major construction dispute over a high-rise hotel project in Philadelphia has drawn in testimony taken during a 2023 deposition held in Lansdale, Pa. The case centers on who was responsible for floor slab cambering and deflection problems that delayed completion by three years and sparked nearly 30 lawsuits among the developer, general contractor, subcontractors, and designers.
   

4. 10-Year-Olds Bust Man Who Ripped Down Pride Flag (metroweekly.com) — Two 10-year-olds helped police identify a man accused of tearing down a Pride flag outside a Doylestown candy shop, and authorities say the suspect is a 60-year-old resident of Lansdale in Montgomery County. The store’s owners, who have been targeted several times, continue to replace the flag as a sign that everyone is welcome in their community.
