Thousands Still Without Power In Montgomery Co. After Storm
The powerful storm ripped down trees and knocked out power in Montgomery County Wednesday.

MONTGOMERY COUNTY, PA — Thousands of residents are without power around Montgomery County after a destructive storm swept through the area.
According to the Montgomery County Department of Public Safety, outages peaked at around 16,000 right after the storm at around 6:45 p.m.
That number was down to about 9,400 by 8:30 p.m.

As of 8:45 p.m., here were the municipalities that were hit:

- East Norriton: 345
- Green Lane: 246
- Horsham: 223
- Hatboro: 9
- Salford: 1,231
- Marlborough: 1,636
- Upper Frederick: 1,405
- Upper Salford: 1,126
- Lower Salford: 274
- Lower Frederick: 333
- Lower Merion: 115
- Lower Gwynedd: 92
- Springield: 521
- Upper Gwynedd: 187
- Upper Moreland: 148

It has not yet been confirmed by the NWS if a tornado touched down, but the damage is consistent with damage from the tornado that hit Berks and Chester counties Tuesday night.
