AAPI Community Fair Connects Residents with Resources
Fair featured cultural performances, elected officials, and more than 25 service providers supporting local community residents

On Saturday, May 3, the Bucks-Mont Collaborative and the Jaisohn Center, on behalf of the Asian American Coalition partner communities, hosted a successful AAPI Community Fair at the Jaisohn Community Wellness Plaza. The event, held from 2 to 5 p.m., brought together community residents and essential service providers in a welcoming, community-driven space.
The Jaisohn Community Wellness Plaza—conveniently located near several Montgomery County boroughs and townships with Asian American populations ranging from 10 to 25 percent—provided an ideal setting for the event. The fair was organized in direct response to the Montgomery County-supported AAPI Community Strengths and Needs Assessment, which identified service gaps affecting this often overlooked community.
The primary goal of the Community Fair was to strengthen connections between AAPI residents and key service organizations, improving access and responsiveness to better meet community needs.

More than 25 organizations participated, including the offices of Senator Maria Collett and Representative Elizabeth Hanbidge, along with key partners such as the Montgomery County Office of Children and Youth, Access Services, Keystone Opportunity Center, and Jefferson Health. These organizations addressed priority needs identified in the assessment, including health care access, senior services, mental health and wellness, social supports, and language-accessible resources.
The fair also featured cultural performances and presentations from Asian American Coalition partners. These moments of celebration fostered mutual understanding and provided opportunities for mainstream organizations to engage more deeply with AAPI communities.
