All Residents Displaced After 3-Alarm Apartment Fire In Montgomery Co.
The devastating blaze left several families without homes.
HATFIELD, PA — All residents of an apartment building in Hatfield Township have been displaced after a devastating three-alarm fire on Thursday, authorities said, while also confirming that no residents or first responders were injured in the blaze.
The fire started at the Hatfield Village Apartments, located on 2058 Maple Avenue, at around 2 p.m. Thursday.
It quickly spread and rose to three alarms as firefighters from around the region joined the Hatfield Fire Company on the scene.

Crews worked "aggressively" to contain the blaze from spreading further, eventually bringing it under control after about 70 minutes of work.
However, the damage was done. Several families living inside the apartment building have lost their homes. The American Red Cross is providing shelter and basic necessities for the victims.

The cause of the fire is not yet known and is under investigation by the Hatfield Township Fire Marshal's Office.
