Christmas Tree Lightings, TubaChristmas, Light Up Lansdale 5K Highlight Week Ahead

Lansdale Borough holds its Christmas tree lighting at Railroad Plaza Friday at 6 p.m. Santa Claus arrives around 6:30 p.m. to light up the tree.

LBA CHRISTMAS TREE DISPLAY

Lansdale Business Association opens its doors to the Christmas tree display at 8(( W. Main St. on Friday night. Check out hours to tour the show here.

 

HOLIDAYS AT THE HOMESTEAD

Lansdale Historical Society holds its “Holidays at the Homestead” free event Saturday. Visit the Jenkins Homestead in Lansdale and see décor recreated from the 18th, 19th and 20th centuries.

 

TUBACHRISTMAS

The Merry TubaChristmas Concert plays favorite carols and tunes Sunday in Railroad Plaza at 2 p.m., preceded by the North Penn High School Brass Ensemble at 1:15 p.m.

 

LIGHT UP LANSDALE 5K CHAMBER CHALLENGE

The PennSuburban Chamber of Commerce urges runners to wear neon and come out Saturday to the 9th annual 5K Chamber Challenge at Penndale Middle School.

 

FDMT “BUCK IT” BRIGADE

Fire Department of Montgomery Township representatives will be accepting donations during its “Buck It” Brigade event Saturday at Montgomery Mall.

Lansdale holds its final First Friday of 2013 at 6 p.m.

 

DINING KNIGHT OUT

North Penn Music Aides hosts a “Dining Knight Out” event at Margarita’s Mexican Restaurant in Towamencin Thursday, where 15 percent of the bill can be donated to the organiztion.

 

MONDAY MORNING FIGURE DRAWING

Artist Amy Rims will run figure drawing sessions at the Water Gallery in Lansdale at 10 a.m.

 

LANSDALE COMMITTEES & COUNCIL

Lansdale Library Committee meets at 6:30 p.m. Monday at the library. Lansdale Council committees meet beginning at 7 p.m. Wednesday at the Education Services Center. Council meets at 9 p.m.

 

LEAF COLLECTION

Lansdale Borough will collect leaves from residents on Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Friday.
