Drones To Provide Security In Montgomery Twp. Over Vietnam Memorial Replica

Authorities said residents shouldn't be alarmed by drone activity around the exhibit.

MONTGOMERY TOWNSHIP, PA — Officials are warning residents around the Montgomery Township area not to be alarmed if they see drones in the sky in the coming days.

Drones will be flown by law enforcement throughout the duration of The Wall That Heals exhibit, the massive scale replica of the Vietnam War Memorial, which arrived at Windlestrae Park Tuesday.

"These (drone) flights are for public safety monitoring, photography, and videography purposes," Montgomery Township police said. "Drones will not be flown directly over people. Thank you for your understanding and cooperation as we work to ensure a memorable and secure experience for everyone."
