A Therapist From Elm Terrace Gardens In Lansdale Wins National Caregiver Of the Year Award

The award, which comes from Genesis Rehab Services, goes to Lyne Alvarez, who has worked at Elm Terrace Gardens for more than 12 years.

LANSDALE, PA — A local woman has won a national recognition for her work with folks at an area retirement community.

Lyne Alvarez, a therapist with Elm Terrace Gardens in Lansdale, won the National Caregiver of the Year Award from Genesis Rehab Services.

Alvarez won the award back in November but was formally recognized at Elm Terrace Gardens on Dec. 7.

"We are lucky enough to have Lyne as one of our therapists here at Elm Terrace Gardens," the retirement community stated on its Facebook page.

The organization said that Alvarez has worked at Elm Terrace Gardens for more than 12 years and is one of the most "compassionate, warm and energetic people you will ever meet!"

"ETG is lucky to have you!" the retirement community posted.

Alvarez was presented with a plaque by resident Frank Ferris following the announcement about her recognition.
