Woman Drives Through Wall Of Montco Beer Store: Reports

The woman reportedly was driving on two flat tires when she hit the store.

PENNSBURG, PA — A woman crashed through the wall of a Montgomery County beer store over the weekend, severely damaging it, according to authorities and a media report.

The incident occurred at around 5 p.m. on Sunday, Dec. 21 at the Pennsburg Beer and Soda, located on the 400 block of Pottstown Avenue.

NBC Philadelphia reports that the woman, whom officers believed to be under the influence, was driving on flat tires when she hit the store.

The outlet added that the damage to the shop is roughly $45,000.

The driver has only been identified as a 48--year-old woman from Perkiomenville. No charges have been filed yet, as authorities are still awaiting lab results after testing was done on the driver after the crash.
