Fairgrounds Road Residents Awakened By Burglary in Progress, Police Say
A resident woke up to noises in his or her home on the night of Sept. 12. Upon investigation, a thin white man was found in the home, who then fled on foot, police said.

Hatfield Township Police are investigating a reported residential burglary that occurred on the 1500 block of Fairgrounds Road Sept. 12, in which the residents were home and were awakened by the burglar.
Police said at 10:30 p.m. Sept. 12, officers responded to a report of a burglary in progress. An investigation revealed the residents of the Fairgrounds Road home were awakened by noises in their home, police said.
One resident went to investigate the noises and discovered a pried-open window, police said.
A tall, thin white man was found in the home by the resident, but fled on foot upon seeing the resident, police said.
Police said the tall, thin white man was in his 20s, wearing a black shirt and black shorts.
Hatfield Township Police were assisted by Montgomery Township Police K-9 and Towamencin Township Police.
