Fire Crews Battled A Residential Fire In North Wales On Wednesday Morning

The fire is said to have started in the attic. The blaze was ultimately extinguished and nobody was reported injured.

NORTH WALES, PA — Volunteer firefighters were called to the scene of a residential fire in the borough late Wednesday morning.

The North Penn Volunteer Fire Company said that Station 62 was dispatched to a dwelling fire just before 11 a.m. Wednesday morning.

Crews operated on the scene for about two-and-a-half hours before putting out the fire, which appeared to be contained to the home's roof area, the fire company stated in a Facebook post.

The call started as reported attic fire at the home, which is located on the 400 block of West Walnut Street, according to a report in the Reporter newspaper of Lansdale.

The cause of the fire remains under investigation and there were no reports of any injuries to residents or firefighters.

North Penn said it was assisted at the scene by fire crews from Upper Gwynedd Township Fire Department, Towamencin Volunteer Fire Co., Centre Square Fire Co., Fairmount Fire Co. of Lansdale, Norriton Fire Engine Co. and the Fire Department of Montgomery Township.
