Freddy Hill Farms and Family Fun Center In Towamencin To Shut Down
The iconic store and amusement center has been running for more than half a century.
TOWAMENCIN TOWNSHIP, PA — Freddy Hill Farms and Family Fun Center, one of the greater Lansdale area's longest running institutions, will shut down at the end of the 2025 season, owners announced.
The local amusement center, located on 1440 Sumneytown Pike, has been in operation for 53 years.
"After heartfelt consideration, we, the Seipt family, have decided to close Freddy Hill Farms and Freddy’s Family Fun Center at the end of the 2025 season," the owners, the Seipt family, said in a statement. "We are looking forward to retirement after decades of running rewarding and challenging businesses."

Beyond the mention of retirement, a specific reason was not given. The future of the land on which Freddy Hill sits, moreover, remains uncertain.
Anxieties have lingered for years amongst supporters of the farm, its activities, and its heritage that it would be overrun by wealthy land developers.

"It is a bittersweet reality that all good things must come to an end," the family added. "Our family is deeply grateful for your support over the last 53 years, and for the opportunity to serve our community and our customers. We have enjoyed sharing this fun place with our family and friends, and we hope that you have fond memories as well. Please join us for your favorite ice cream treats and fun center activities this coming season."
The farm's mini golf, driving range, batting cages, and pro shop all opened for the season on March 8, along with a variety of other offerings.
Freddy Hill opened in 1972 as a dairy store with milk and ice cream. It has expanded to include all of its famous amenities over the years, with the fun center opening in 1991.
