Kimmel Bogrette Architecture + Site is responsible for all the buildings and projects above.

It’s next big project is right in Montgomery Township –

The firm is working with Ballard*King & Associates Ltd. Recreation Facility Planning and Operation Consultants.

Ballard*King has consulted on some familiar projects in our region: Greater Plymouth Community Center probably being the most prominent. It has also consulted on the Cedar Crest College Aquatic Center and the Upper Dublin Recreation Center Study.

Now, the firms have another firm taking part in the future community center creation: Montgomery Township’s own contracted engineering firm.

Gilmore & Associates will be hired for $11,000 to complete a comprehensive site study, according to Dan Sokil of The Reporter.

Montgomery Township Supervisors Monday unanimously approved the contract.

Meanwhile, Ballard*King and Kimmel Bogrette remain in discussions with supervisors and township officials on the layout, size and contents of the proposed center, according to the article.

According to township Manager Larry Gregan and a board action summary from Monday night, an RFP for a feasibility study anticipated the need for a new site condition plan.

Gregan said the site had been re-graded before the township purchased the property this year. At that time, storm drainage improvements were installed without a completed existing conditions plan.

According to the summary, a new survey is needed for proper site elevation and to record setbacks for building and site improvements. Gilmore will find out what is there, what can be there, and where future amenities can be installed.

The budget includes earmarked money in the capital reserve fund of $650,000 for expenses in the planning and design of the center.

Gregan is quoted as such in The Reporter:

There are some storm sewer improvements, some storm drainage improvements, a wetlands mitigation area, and all of those things need to be documented on a final surveyed site plan.

We have to identify where (utilities already installed) all come out on the plan, and hopefully see which will be useful for any future development.
