CC: Friend or family member of an expectant parent. Grandparents, aunts, uncles, good friends seem to be who purchases my onsies and tees as gifts for a new addition.

CC: I haven't met anyone who uses the process I use when designing my items. I think hand drawn art on clothing, let alone baby clothes is not an area that a lot of people produce in. What I do is not screen printing! Each piece, even if it is a style that is popular and has been created many times, never looks exactly like the one I made before. They are truly each unique.
LP: What made you decide to open a business?
CC: I have a fashion design degree from Philadelphia University and have always saw my ultimate career goal as owning my own children's wear boutique after I spent some time in the industry. Unfortunately, I found that in this economy, a fashion job in the Philadelphia area was not easy to come by. I was working in pharmaceuticals for 6 months when I came up with Crib Chic. I decided to go for it after coming back to work after the holidays and realizing that I needed an outlet for my creativity. If I couldn't work in the fashion industry right then, I'd start my own business right now!
LP: What’s your most popular item?
CC: My sports team (Phillies, Eagles, Flyers, college teams, etc.) onesies and tees are big sellers but some others like an elephant and the ombre with a knit flower on the shoulder series (it comes in Red, Pink, Blue, Teal or Yellow) are great sellers also.
LP: What make’s your community special?
CC: For the most part, my business has grown by word of mouth. My clients are mainly my friends, family, my moms friends and coworkers. I have real relationships with my clients. So when I'm selling my items at a craft show or a new client finds me, I develop relationships with them. A large part of my business is personalized designs. A client will come to me and say that the mom they are buying for is a "huge University of Alabama fan" and then from there we come up with a great deisgn that features an Alabama mascot, logo, etc. Basically, I work closely with all my clients to make sure that the Crib Chic item they get is what they imagined or more!
LP: Where can customers find your specials?
CC: Customers can find out everything they need to know on our website. www.Megan-Fink.com. If they have questions they can contact me through the website and their question comes directly to me for an answer.
