UPPER MERION, PA — The local area is getting some Grammy-nominated love in the coming weeks, as artist Joan Osborne will perform live in Upper Merion Township.

Osborne will play on June 4 at the 37th Annual Upper Merion Concert Under the Stars. It's part of a tour supporting her recent albums "Radio Waves" and "Trouble and Strife."

"Throughout her 25-year, multi-Grammy nominated career, Osborne has never been an artist confined to one space," a spokesperson for Osborne's tour told Patch. "She has utilized her incredible voice through her own songs while also becoming one of her generation’s finest interpreters. Radio Waves is a living document of that."

The 60-year-old rose to stardom in the mid-90s for the single "One of Us" and has since received acclaim for her work alongside Motown artists.
